Since I spend a majority of my Mondays and Thursdays in an airport somewhere in the US, I figured this is a fitting tribute to a rainy Monday in DC. This image was a handheld shot in DTW (Detroit) during my travels last week. I'm home this week (for once), so I plan on doing a little more shooting. The themes I'm going to focus on are for two weekly projects I'll be doing as often as possible, this week they are: Circular and Happy. Please send subject matter suggestions!

I'm becoming a fan of these night/dusk shots. And after going to Barnes & Noble and looking at some of the books on Washington DC, it looks as though they handed the camera to a monkey. Anyone with opposable thumbs could have taken those pictures!

Note: My handy assistant helped me frame this one (I think she's worth keeping around).

It's the standard skyline shot you see in postcards at Borders, but seeing as though I'm getting back into the swing of things... it seemed like a good starting point on a clear night as this.

Caveat: Although the site's name is "50mm", obviously I'm using more than one lens for these images.

It's been almost seven hundred days since my last post. I've been across the country and back doing consulting work but have not made photoblogging my priority again until now. There's something to be said for the amount of equipment I own and the lack of time I have put into my once college major. It's about time I right those wrongs.

DTW - Travelled to The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs for an event this weekend. Interesting journey to say the least...and I do not recommend flying Northwest anytime in the near future. Photos of the hotel to follow.
